30th December 2020
Message from Chris, MD Guitar Mania Ltd:
“Hi folks, here we go again!! As per government instructions our SHOWROOM will be CLOSED from today (30th December) but it’s only temporary and we will re-open just as soon as we are allowed.
Just like previous lockdowns, you can still ORDER ONLINE from us with FREE DELIVERY or use Click n Collect (Collect from Shop). I will be available to answer your questions via email or you can send us a message via Facebook etc.
Despite all the Covid craziness, Guitar Mania has had quite a successful year, so a big THANK YOU for your support!
See you on the other side as they say”
When we re-open, the same precautions will be in place as before for our mutual safety. Here is a summary of these measures:
OPENING HOURS – 10am to 5pm
WHEN WE RE-OPEN…At the moment we feel reducing our opening hours will reduce the risk of infection and contamination. It will also allow us time before we open, and after we close to clean and sterilise.
MAXIMUM OF 3 CUSTOMERS –
Again, sadly, this isn’t ideal. We want coming to Guitar Mania to be a fun, enjoyable experience, however these are difficult times and we must act responsibly for everyone’s safety. Therefore, we feel it appropriate to limit the number of customers in store to a maximum of 3 at any one time. That’s one party of 2 people plus 1 other separate individual. We just don’t have the staff to safely cover a higher number than that.
NO UNATTENDED UNDER 16’s
We have always welcomed everyone of every age however at the moment we have to implement this age restriction so we can manage staff, customers and the stock as safely as possible.
NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED
There’s absolutely no need to book an appointment, just turn up! In the unlikely event that we have too many customers in then please just wait outside. Just like most other shops we operate a ‘one-in-one-out policy’. Apolohies for any inconvebience.
STAFF PROTECTION –
When you visit Guitar Mania we may be wearing a face mask or some other form of protection. Please do not be put off by this, as it’s for your safety.
If we are not wearing one and you would prefer that we did, just ask and we will put one on.
When you visit you will also notice there are floor markings, some of which are around the Point of Sale area, please observe these markings.
We have also erected a perspex / acrylic transparent screen around the Point of Sale area.
ENTRY SYSTEM –
To help control and limit the number of customers in store at any time we will be operating a ‘one in – one out’ system. When you arrive the door may be locked, please just knock and we will come and greet you and if possible let you in.
PLEASE WEAR A MASK !!!!!
When you come into the shop you will be offered hand sanitiser.
All the surfaces and handles that you are likely to come into contact with are cleaned with a sanitising solution at either ½ hour or one hour intervals depending on how busy we have been.
STOCK
All of the instruments here at Guitar Mania has been cleaned and sterilised. The way we do this is to clean and polish in line with manufacturers recommendation and then we wipe them down with an alcohol soaked cloth or alcohol wipe.
After any instrument has been touched or played a member of staff will remove it from display and put it in our workshop ready to be sterilised again.
CUSTOMERS IN STORE..
Firstly please observe the 2 metre social distancing protocol.
It is bizarre that we have to have a policy on this but it appears to be necessary…
Please try your best to NOT TOUCH any instrument or surfaces unnecessarily or at least please try to LIMIT the amount you touch things. Obviously we want you to try out instruments so here’s our way we do it:
You choose an instrument.
Play it.
After you have tried it hand it to a member of staff who will take it off to be sterilised / cleaned.
If you cough or sneeze in our store please don’t be offended if we then offer you a tissue. Please use it and dispose of it as requested and please then use the hand gel offered again.
CREDIT CARD MACHINE:
This will be cleaned after every use. We wipe the keypad down with alcohol after every customer. Wherever possible we would encourage you to use contactless.
