USED Vox AC30 JM1 from c1963-1964 with footswitch

So.. this is the SECOND one of these we have had in so forgive me if this is all a bit cut-n-paste!
Same previous owner, selling with a Brian May Guild guitar (see other listings in our ebay store).

So..this is the second of a couple of vintage 1960’s Vox amplifiers we have for sale.
Owned since the early 1990’s by a gigging and touring Brian May enthusiast.
The amp has been well gigged, toured and loved.
Externally (see pics) you will see it’s in very good condition.
We have been informed by a local expert who came to look at this amp that it is a 1963/64 genuine vox amp chassis that has been re-housed in a 1970’s frame.
Then also it looks as though it has been extensively re-furbished with a new front grill cloth, completely re-covered, new badge, possibly new handles and cooling vents added underneath together with enlarged top vents combined for improved air flow and reliability.
Internally it’s has new valves where required and the old (but not original) existing valves have been tested and bias reset.
It has had some new caps and various repairs and services over the years has required replacement resistors too. Not exactly ‘Triggers Broom’ but certainly not “all original”.
Presented with an engineers report (JB Amp Repairs) who serviced this amp and got it working.

The speakers appear to be original.

We have been informed this was made around 1963 – 1964.

In operation it sems to be working correctly with that classic fat British Vox sound made fanous by the Beatles, Kinks, Brian May etc etc Born to be played live n loud.
As with anything old please expect the ocassional scratching from pots and other spurious noises. When we played through it everything sounded fine, just giving you reasonable warning that this is a very old, VINTAGE electrical item and should be played and handled with care and make allowances for it’s beautiful imperfections !

The amnplifier, as you know, is heavy so it’s COLLECTION ONLY or you are welcome to send in a removals / professional shipping company after payment received. Also due to ill health I am not able to lift this into your car so bring a roadie if you need it !

If you want to hear it working then it’s here in stock in our showroom in Poole, Dorset but ebay won’t allow me to give you any further info than that but hey, we’ve been here 31 years so pretty easy to find ;o)
