Here we have in stock in our showroom in Parkstone a lovely example of a 2018 Gibson ES-3356 Dot (only produced in 2018) the guitar has been a bit of a case queen in someones collection. Even still has the original shipping box!

The 2018 Gibson ES-335 DOT is designed with the working musician in mind and pairs innovative thinking with time-honored tradition. The Rounded “C” single-piece maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, and hand-rolled neck binding give you an unmatched playing feel. The Burstbucker 1 and Burstbucker 2 humbucking pickups ensure that you will always have the versatility to match your own creativity. New finishes include Blues Burst and Wine Red.

Body Condition: 9/10 – The body of the guitar is in near mint condition, the film is still on the pick guard! The top and back featured a few little surface scratches but nothing you wouldn’t expect to find on any other used guitar. No dings or bumps to report on the body. Only thing to note is a slight bit of lacquer cracking by the neck pocket, purely cosmetic and normal for any Gibson!

Neck: 8.5/10 – A tiny amount of fret wear is visible on the guitar, yet again nothing you wouldn’t expect to find on a used guitar. The back of the neck is free of any damage and scuffs. No headstock breaks or damage to the headstock to report.

Hardware: 9/10 – All original hardware, very small amounts of tarnishing to the tuners and the bridge. Yet again, nothing you would not expect to find on a used Gibson guitar.

Electrics: 8/10
Sockets, pots and switches etc are wear and tear items. The electrics on this guitar have been tested and are in excellent working order, but my standard disclaimer is it’s a used guitar and one must expect SOME occasional electrical ‘scratching’ noise, crackling and popping when adjusting pots and switches. In our opinion the electrics on this guitar exhibit less than average ‘noise’ in normal play but there’s no guarantee how long they will stay in this condition.

Playability:
This guitar has been lovingly set up by Jon, one of the UK’s most highly regarded and experienced guitar techs.
That doesn’t mean this guitar is the best playing guitar ever, it just means that he has taken the time to set it up. Adjust the action, intonation etc so that it plays as well as can be expected and stays in tune as good as any guitar of this type does.
We all have differing styles and demands from our instruments. Some of us like fast n low actions for fretboard burning licks, others prefer a high n mightly action for show stopping windmills and downtuned heavy riffing and everything in between. No one set up suits all!
