Here at Guitar Mania we take great pride in our Taylor guitars. Every one gets check and set up as required so they have a great action as well as sounding great. They are all stored in a humidity controlled room so that they stay that way too. Jon, our in-house Taylor Guru is in charge of the set ups and general well being of these lovely guitars. He is a Master Level factory trained technician so rest assured you’re in good hands. We have a thriving Taylor Service Centre that he takes care of and our after sales service is second to none.
If you have tried to save money and bought from somewhere online and found your action is high, it’s most likely because it’s been stored in a damp draughty warehouse or cellar and especially applicable to this country, been exposed to excess humidity. This causes the body to swell up and becomes apparent by a high string height (action). You won’t get that here.
All Taylor guitars are stored in a humidity controlled environment.

Built to honor the innovative spirit that drove Bob Taylor’s guitar designs dating back to the early years, the Legacy 714ce celebrates the Grand Auditorium body shape that Bob introduced to the world in 1994. This model boasts a tonewood pairing not currently found in the standard Taylor line: Indian rosewood back and sides with a Western Red cedar top, voiced with the same X-bracing pattern used in the first Grand Auditorium guitars. The result is an exceptionally warm, mellow response with remarkable touch sensitivity that doesn’t lose clarity in the treble range. Visually, this model reflects the understated aesthetic Bob preferred for his guitars of three decades ago, with appointments including black binding with black and white pinstripes, dot fretboard inlays in green abalone with a matching three-ring rosette, ebony bridge pins with green abalone dots, a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard, gold tuning machines, and a gloss-finished body paired with a satin-finished neck.
